Authorization
Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University is the higher educational institution formed as Ltd, entrepreneurial (commercial) legal entity of private law. University offers higher educational programs of first and second cycle, according to the rules of the “Law of Georgia on Higher Education”.
Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University was granted further state authorization approved by the decision 31 of the Authorization Board of higher educational institutions of the National Centre of Education Quality Enhancement. The Decree was issued on November 20, 2014.
Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University, as other higher educational institutions of the country has to obtain authorization in every five years anew.
Accreditation
All educational programs in Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University are accredited.
By the decision 69 of June 1, 2018 of the Accreditation Board of Higher Education Programs, the Bachelor program in Business administration was awarded conditional accreditation.
By the decision 07 of January 12, 2018 of the Accreditation Board of Higher Education Programs, the English Bachelor program in Business administration was awarded conditional accreditation.
By the decision 38 of July 3, 2017 of the Accreditation Board of Higher Education Programs, the Master program in Business administration was awarded accreditation.
By the decision 120 of August 7, 2015 of the Accreditation Board of Higher Education Programs, the Bachelor program in International Relations was awarded accreditation.
By the decision 249 of December 10, 2014 of the Accreditation Board of Higher Education Programs, the Bachelor program in Law was awarded accreditation.
By the decision 250 of December 10, 2014 of the Accreditation Board of Higher Education Programs, the Bachelor program in Theology was awarded accreditation.
By the decision 251 of December 10, 2014 of the Accreditation Board of Higher Education Programs, the Master program in Theology was awarded accreditation.
By the decision 23 of February 7, 2014 of the Accreditation Board of Higher Education Programs, the Master program in Law was awarded accreditation.
By the decision 757 of December 11, 2012 of the Accreditation Board of Higher Education Programs, the Bachelor program in Tourism was awarded accreditation.
By the decision 758 of December 11, 2012 of the Accreditation Board of Higher Education Programs, the Bachelor program in Business Administration was awarded accreditation.
Bologna Process
What is Bologna Process?
On June 19, 1999 29 European Ministers of Education signed a declaration in the oldest university town of Bologna (Bologna Declaration). By signing the document, the ministers expressed their willingness to participate in creation of the United European Higher Education Area.
Development of appropriate tools for connecting National Educational Systems is the purpose of Bologna Process.
Who are involved in Bologna Process?
Nowadays, 46 countries participate in the Bologna Process. Georgia joined Bologna Process in 2005 at Bergen Summit.
The participant countries of the Bologna Process are represented by their governmental, as well as higher educational institutions, students, academic staff and employers.
