THEOLOGY AND PHILOSOPHY RESEARCH INSTITUTE

Theology and Philosophy Research Institute is a research unit affiliated to  Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University. The Institute was founded on the basis of a memorandum signed on August 19, 2019 between Gregory Palamas’ Theology and Philosophy International Institute and Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University.

Institute’s objectives include the following:

• contribution to the scientific research in the disciplines of Theology and Philosophy
• establishment of contacts with local and international academic Institutions,
• collaboration with the State, private and non-governmental structures and various Organizations,
• support scientific – practical researches and thus improve and enhance the teaching area,
• advancing the introduction of international standards and efficient implementation of the research and educational processes within the framework of the University,
• to implement the research, educational-consultation and expert activity, to conduct the application work ordered and financed by international state, private or non-government Organizations.

The key directions of the University activity are as follows:

• implementation of the research and educational work in theology and philosophy at national as well as international level,
• to establish research and educational contacts both with local and international (e.g. in EU and USA) Organizations,
• to implement the work ordered and financed by international, state, private or non-government Organizations,
• translation into Georgian language of Books, Articles, Monagraphs, etc. of various subjects, mainly in Theology, Philosophy and Sociology,
• publishing (e.g. Books, Monographs and Volumes of Conferences’ Papers),
• conduction of a wide range of scientific, practical and educational activities (e.g. Conferences, Workshops, business meeting, round table, training, public meeting, etc.).
• participation in a variety of scientific, practical and educational events (Conferences, Workshops, training, business meeting, round table, public meeting, etc.).
